If you are reading the review,then you are aware that the film is called Bad Ass 2: Bad Assess, so you know that narrative, story, script, and comprehension are not the film makers main focus.

They know they have got Danny Glover as an agoraphobic, grumpy old man, and people of an age will just have Lethal Weapon flash before their eyes and go for it. Much like me.

Story wise, if you’ve seen any action film from the eighties, you will know, even before he opens his mouth, that the kid is going to get killed, and be the rationale for Trejo to do his death wish again.

It’s not the best film in the world, but it’s sincere in trying to hark back to the buddy action comedies of the eighties.

Glover is brilliant, and the scene where they gate crash the party is hilarious, and the ending has a great payoff to that film.

When a film really dwells on a scene involving a little girl wanting a secret room, you absolutely know that room will be used to effect come the end of the film.

It’s ninety minutes if switch your brain off rubbish.

It’s nothing brilliant, but you could do a heck of a lot worse.Read More
