Amazon Obhijaan Review: Undoubtedly an adventure of a lifetime!
Movie: Amazon Obhijaan (UA): Action/Adventure – Bengali

Positives:

The film is technically very strong and right from the first scene you’re pulled into the film’s atmosphere.Dev’s performance is excellent as Shankar and he looks to be a real adventurer. Other actors also deliver good performances.The thrills work big time and can make you hold your breath.The action scenes are also very well shot and executed.Most of the film’s excellence has to do with the cinematography, adventure and locales. You get the feel as if you’ve accompanied the characters on their adventure.The CGI is very good though it may not be flawless but given the film’s budget, I was very impressed with the effects.

The editing in some portions could’ve been a bit better.

AMAZON OBHIJAAN is the first Bengali film I have seen in theatre with English subtitles. I couldn’t wait for the Hindi dubbed version so I watched it in its original language. And I came out very impressed, telling others about the excellence this film has. It’s a must watch, but as the lead actor Dev said on social media, “You’re making a mistake if you’re going to watch it alone”, go watch it with your family and have fun, as it’s also a clean and family-friendly adventure!Read More
