A real ‘B’ movie
PARANORMAL ASYLUM is a straight-to-video found footage horror flick made on a tiny budget. It doesn’t have much sense and plays out just like every other example of the genre that you can think of. A couple of aspiring student filmmakers investigate the legend of a local ‘Typhoid Mary’ and soon find themselves pursued by her spirit in numerous cheesy scenes. This has a glossy look and feel to it which doesn’t really match with the stilted performances and dreadful CGI effects. It’s not the kind of film that you can get excited about.
