Meh..
I read the book and watched the trailer, it was obvious it was about teenage pregnancy and Finnish teen culture. When I watched it, I didn’t except there to be a subplot about racism in Helsinki and I honestly just didn’t care that much during the movie and waited to see Kiira again. The story is overall pretty good and the acting is passable. I love the soundtrack but the writing is a bit..poor. Also why was there a sex scene between underage actors on camera?? And what was the ending? It felt underwhelming that we just see the baby, no complications, these two fifteen year olds are just gonna get their own home and raise the baby no problem? I would’ve loved to see the aftermath of the birth of the baby and show that having children wasn’t sunshine and rainbows.
