Well made movie about a man with a story worth to be told.
I never heard of Victor Young Perez before, not that I’m a huge boxing fan or so (just watching a fight every now and then), but the truth is that his story is worth to be told, it’s captivating (you can’t help rooting for him), it’s sad and emotional, but mostly it’s a well made movie with good actors. I’ve been postponing to watch this movie for a while, thought I wasn’t ready yet to watch another movie about boxing, but when I finally decide to watch it I realized it’s just not only about boxing (although the boxing scenes are superb) but also about injustice, perseverence etc. In short, Victor Young Perez is a movie worth watching, and a name I won’t ever forget from now on.
