A disaster of a disaster movie
A giant tsunami wave wipes out the Hawaiian islands and threatens to destroy the West Coast next. Scientists try to figure out a solution before it’s too late while the military braces for the worst.

Sound really good and exciting? Well, it just ain’t. Boy, does this exceptionally cruddy dud strike out something awful in every possible way: We’ve got hopelessly ham-fisted (non)direction, a ramshackle narrative that unfolds at a painfully plodding pace, laughably lousy and unconvincing (far from) special effects, bland characters, terrible acting from a largely lame no-name cast (only Joseph Michael Harris as a tough gunnery sergeant puts in some kind of effort while semi-names Reggie Bannister, Priscilla Barnes, and Joe Estevez strictly phone it in), tin-eared dialogue, a crippling dearth of tension, and an alarming lack of both scale and urgency considering the magnitude of the impending disaster. A total clunker.Read More
